Market intelligence (MI) and competitive intelligence (CI) are more important for industry Challengers, often small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as they seek to compete with larger competitors; yet, these businesses rarely have the capacity and resources to carry it out to the extent that they would like.
I work with SMEs to enhance their use of MI & CI, particularly within 'Challenger Brand' theory and the 'Guerrilla Marketing' discipline. This article provides an introduction as to where MI & CI can contribute to Challenger Brand theory; and this article demonstrates how important intelligence is to Guerrilla operations.
